I almost made it through day 4, before we decided that this was too expensive. We spent over $200 in 4 days for us to have 3 "meals" each a day.
I wish juicing wasn't so expensive. We're still gonna juice, just not every meal.
I ended up losing almost 10lbs though.

Juicing: Day 3
Not really much to update about. I drank carrot and orange juice today. You couldn't taste the carrots at all, and I probably used 4 or 5 of them. It did make a really bright orange juice lol.
Anyway, down 5lbs, but I'm sure its water weight.

Juicing: Day 2
It's nearing towards the end of day 2, and today was easier than yesterday. No dreams of pizza...just fried chicken. When I got on the scale this morning, I was down 1.8lbs lol. I woke up with a headache, and cramps. I hate being a female sometimes. I only took half the dose of an ibuprofen that I usually do, and my headache eventually went away.
Last night, Aaron and I were debating on eating something light because we kind of went into this cold turkey. Mmm turkey. Sometimes I think this juice diet detox thing is stupid, and I would feel better if I ate 1 meal, and juiced the others. Aaron originally wanted to do 30 days, but this is our first time doing this, we didn't even do a trial run or anything. He asked why can't this be our trial run. I'm going to do this for as long as I can stand without going crazy. I've never done something so extreme
For breakfast, I made a banana, strawberry, grape, apple and cucumber juice. It lasted me until noon. I didn't even put a dent in my lunch juice. That consisted of kale, cucumber, carrots, spinach, and I think apple.
Before I met Aaron, I went on a chicken and tuna diet, and I lost a significant amount of weight. I'm thinking about doing that again. At least I could eat lol. I would eat a yogurt and a piece of fruit for breakfast. Snacks would be unlimited vegetables. Lunch
It's almost 8pm, and I'm not hungry, but I know if I don't drink something, I'll feel sick later. I should probably go grab a glass of the remainder of my lunch juice.
Anyway, mood wise, I was pretty irritated most of the day. At work, all I wanted to do was go home and crawl in bed, but I never did that. I'm regretting it now.
So here's the end of day 2.

Juicing: Day 1
Well today hasn't been bad so far. Its 5pm, and I just got off work. I had a banana, carrot, strawberry, apple and broccoli mixture for breakfast. No, I did not have the piece of fruit and yogurt. I'm going to see how this goes for a couple of days, and if my body isn't reacting well, then I will add those in. For lunch (and lunch I mean 10am-2pm is how long it lasted me) I drank about 32oz of a beet, apple, spinach mix. I'm not exactly sure of everything in there because Aaron made it. It was okay. It didn't smell appetizing, but it was actually not bad. I just got home, and I made a strawberry, banana, apple, carrot and celery mixture. My stomach grumbled throughout the day, but I'd drink a little bit at a time, and the grumbling would go away.
One thing I couldn't stop thinking about today was pizza. How pathetic. I haven't even completed 1 day of this juice detox, and I'm dreaming about pizza lol. Work was kind of slow, so that didn't help, but I made it. And, I can't stop peeing. I went about 5 or 6 times at work today, which was odd for me because I hate using the work bathrooms so I try to hold it until I get home lol.
I figured if we just quit throwing in a bunch of shit into the juices, and actually find recipes, it'll be more organized, and it'll save us money. We spent a little over $100 on fruits and vegetables yesterday, so I'm hoping this lasts at least until Wednesday. On Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, they figured around $14/day per person to juice, so we would get our money worth.
I think I feel a headache coming on, but sometimes I can tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac, so we will see what happens.
I'd still like to juice a piece of pizza, or a hamburger.
Until tomorrow....

Pre-Juicing; The day before
For a couple of weeks now, Aaron has been talking about going on a juicing detox diet. Back in early January, we watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead and decided we would try the juicing diet before Spring. Well, that didn't happen because family things came up, and we just couldn't be bothered with the amount of stress we were dealing with at the time, and a diet was the last thing on my mind.
I'd wish myself good luck, but I don't want to base this diet on luck. I want to have the willpower for myself. I want to finally fall through with something to benefit myself.
Anyway, 8 very long months pass by, things have calmed down, and we are finally a bit comfortable enough to start this diet, or I guess I should say I am. I know, I know. Excuses. Excuses got me where I am today, and I'm ready for a change. A change to better myself.
My plan is in the mornings have fruit juice. If I get hungry, I'll have a low fat yogurt, and a piece of fruit, but that has to be before 10am. Now, as a few days pass, depending on how my body feels, I will completely stop with the yogurt and piece of fruit. Everything else will be juiced fruits and vegetables, and water for the rest of the day. Possibly some tea at night, and try not to have any juice after 8pm.
I'm not going to post my current weight, but I will TRY to do daily weight loss updates for at least the first week. I stress the word try, because I'm really bad about sticking to things...just like when I started this blog. I posted twice in 2011, and haven't updated it since. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to step on the scale, and keep that number to myself until I'm comfortable enough to let out my secret lol.
Moving on. This was our purchase at Costco. Aaron wanted a new juicer, since we just have some dingy Hamilton Beach one. We got kale, spinach, apples, oranges, carrots, strawberries, red beets (never had them before) broccoli, tomatoes, bananas and cucumbers. Not bad for starters.
